The Day I Decided to Believe in My Own World

A few days after I listed my artworks on Etsy,
I happened to see a painting in the recommendations that looked very similar to mine.
Caramel Cake and Chocolate Cake —
both of them were pieces I had poured my heart into,
carefully building up the background colors, composition, and light through countless trials.

It was heartbreaking to see something that resembled my “own world,”
a world I had spent so much time and emotion creating,
being imitated so easily.
I had just started my shop, and not even a single piece had sold yet.

But after I calmed down, I made a decision —
to nurture a world so genuine that it would remain unshaken, even if someone tried to copy it.

GreenPotager is not just about surface design.
Each color, composition, and atmosphere carries a warmth —
a reflection of what I felt in that moment.
My goal is not simply to create something beautiful,
but to create something with presence — something that quietly speaks.

So from now on, I’ll keep trusting my own sense of beauty,
and keep growing this world that belongs only to me —
freely, deeply, and wholeheartedly.

自分の世界を信じてみようと思った日

Etsyに作品を載せて数日たったころ、偶然おすすめ欄に、私の作品とよく似た絵が流れてきました。
キャラメルケーキとチョコレートケーキの絵。
背景の色も、構図も、光の入り方も、何度も試行錯誤を重ねて作り上げたものです。

せっかく時間と心を込めて作った“自分の世界”が、あっさりと模倣されてしまったようで、とてもショックでした。
まだ始めたばかりで、一枚も売れていないのに…。

でも、少し落ち着いて考えたときに決めました。
——真似をされても揺るがない、本物の世界を育てよう、と。

「GreenPotager」は、表面のデザインだけではなく、
ひとつひとつの色、構図、空気感に、私自身の感じた“温度”を込めて作っています。
ただ美しいだけではなく、そこに“雰囲気”がある絵をつくることが目的です。

だからこそ、これからも自分の感性を信じて、
もっと自由に、もっと深く、自分の世界を育てていこうと思います。
